Despite rain, drought conditions persist

Recent rain has helped some North Texas communities ease water restrictions, but others are still struggling and in desperate need of rain. Officials are calling the Possum Kingdom Lake area ground zero for the state's drought, down 16 feet. “Keep your fingers crossed. That's about all you can do.     We started this morning off in the 50s... May 17th was the last time DFW saw temperatures that cool!!! Temps will struggle to warm up as cloudy skies persist through the afternoon, but we should get into the upper 60s and low 70s by 5 p.m. before slowly cooling back down into the low 60s overnight. Tomorrow will be a little warmer with more breaks of sunshine with a high of around 82°, winds will be light out of the northeast at 5-10 mph.Miss the warmth?
