Matt Dominguez hit a tying homer off reliever Neal Cotts with one out in the eighth. Altuve also doubled twice in matching his career high for hits. Dominguez had an RBI single earlier in the game.

WACO, Texas (AP) - Bryce Petty threw for two touchdowns and ran for another score to help No. 10 Baylor open its riverfront campus stadium with a 45-0 victory over SMU last night. Petty played two quarters because of a bruise to his lower back after taking an early shot. He threw for 161 yards while moving gingerly at times and often grabbing at his back.

HOUSTON (AP) - Homer Causey ran for one touchdown and threw for another as Texas Southern beat Prairie View A&M 37-35 yesterday. Causey went 14 of 22 for 224 yards and rushed for 88 yards. The Tigers scored 10 third-quarter points on Causey's 4-yard touchdown run and Eric Medina's 20-yard field goal.

IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys will get to keep Ryan Williams on their practice squad after the fourth-year running back cleared waivers.
