ASSIGNMENT EDITOR: Regular Full-Time: Must be aggressive and thorough in responding to breaking news. Research and select news stories through multiple sources including: news wires, websites, social media, newspapers, scanners and email. Responsible for daily communication with police and government officials and agencies. The incumbent must develop reliable sources to help in obtaining, and confirming information for newscasts. Secure and organize elements for newscasts such as electronic audio and video files, photos and documents. He/she must have broad working knowledge of online databases, as well as broad working knowledge of court and police procedures. Write and publish stories for and consistently publish to social media channels. Coordinate, dispatch and communicate with crews to planned and breaking news events. Work closely with reporters, producers and managers to develop stories and story ideas. Answer viewer calls and emails and speak with community contacts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in Communication and/or Journalism. 2 to 4 years’ in a medium to major market experience required. 3 to 5 years’ in a Top 15 market preferred. Must possess strong phone skills and etiquette Must have strong knowledge of legal and ethical parameters for mass media. Must be able to work under tight deadlines. Strong working knowledge of the technical aspects of television news production required, including digital and web-based newsgathering tools. The candidate must be able to use newsroom computer systems, including AVID iNews and AVID search, editing and graphics systems. Strong communication skills are a must and must be able to complete required administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.


PHOTOJOURNALIST: {2 Positions} Regular Full-Time: Responsibilities include but not limited to: Shooting and nonlinear editing, live truck and video transmission operations, and the proper care of assigned equipment. Must be able to work closely with Reporters in evaluating and determining the course of stories and be able to work solo in the field, responsible for coverage of news events as assigned by Supervisor. Candidate must be an active participant in social media. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs of equipment. This position requires that the employee maintains a valid Texas driver's license and maintains a clear driving record. Must also perform other duties including some travel as assigned and must be able to work in physically challenging conditions.

College degree preferred. Ideal candidate must have strong story telling abilities, great attitude and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate skills in operating photography, non-linear editing and live equipment. Work well under deadlines. Must be able to adapt to changing technologies. Candidate must have two (2) to three (3) years shooting experience, which include photography and editing experience.


PRODUCER: Regular Full-Time: Responsible for writing news stories and teases, ordering graphics and assembling newscasts. Write stories for Coordinate live coverage of news events and participate in the selection and development of stories. Create content for social media platforms. Perform other duties as assigned.

Four (4) year college degree required. Two (2) – Three (3) years’ experience as a TV newscast producer in a medium to major market. Candidate must have strong news judgment, good writing skills, knowledge of current events and excellent communication and people skills. Knowledge of social media platforms, TV production techniques and newsroom computer systems required.


REPORTER: Regular Full-Time: Provide original news content for KDFW FOX 4,, and associated media partners by successfully accomplishing the following responsibilities: gather news information; write news stories, and doing taped and live interviews and reports for KDFW FOX 4, and associated media partners. Must contribute to social media efforts; Initiate research and enterprise stories; Update and follow up on stories and communicate with managers and assignment editors about past, current and future stories. May Anchor on a part time or fill-in basis. Complete required administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Perform other duties as assigned.

Must have a broad working knowledge of police procedures, the court system, and municipal, state and federal government operations and must have strong knowledge of legal and ethical parameters of reporting for mass media. Ability to work under stressful conditions and deadlines is a must. Maintaining a strong roster of contacts and sources is required. Strong working knowledge of the technical aspects of television news production required, including digital and web-based newsgathering tools. Must be able to use newsroom computer systems, and possess specific expertise in research and computer-assisted reporting. Must be a strong writer and communicator and have the ability to shoot and edit video. A professional appearance is essential. Must annunciate clearly, and maintain a clear delivery during both live and taped reports. Bi-lingual Spanish/English a plus. 4–year college degree required with emphasis in Communications and Journalisms preferred. 3 -5 years’ experience in a medium to major market.



Account Executive: Regular Full-Time: KDFW/KDFI currently has an opening for an Account Executive. The position will primarily focus on developing new business for Broadcast TV. The successful candidate must be able to identify qualified targets, use strong communication and presentation skills throughout the sales process and maintain a high closing ratio. We are looking for someone that can bring together all our resources (Top Rated Local News, Fox Network, Fox Sports, My Network TV, Web Sponsorships and Promotions) in a creative manner to achieve a high level of results. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, strategically negotiating existing business along with obtaining incremental dollars from the existing market and building strong client relationships. Responsible for completing administrative tasks such as weekly forecasts, monthly reports, new business trackers, weekly meeting forms and the credit and collection of all accounts.

Ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of success in sales. A four year college degree is required. Media sales experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of media math, TV ratings and web metrics is a plus. Candidate must be a self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for someone who is energetic, positive, creative and passionate to succeed in the highly competitive environment of media sales. Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking are critical to the position. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required and knowledge of media related software and research tools is a plus.

LOCAL SALES ASSISTANT: Regular Full-Time: The Local Sales Assistant assists a team of Local Account Executives and a Local Sales Manager. The Local Sales Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day tasks involved with the local order activity process. These tasks include but not limited to: order entry, contract maintenance, contract reconciliation and the posting of contracts. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the coordination and maintenance of Wide Orbit paperwork as well as the filing of local contracts. The Local Sales Assistant will be in constant communication with Local Account Executives, Local Sales Managers, the Traffic Department and Advertisers.

Four year college degree or equivalent work experience required. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Good communication skills are essential along with the ability to construct and correct written presentations; as well as interact with a team of Local Account Executives. Previous experience at a a television station preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required and an aptitude for math is a must.



TRAFFIC COORDINATOR: Regular Full-Time: KDFW/KDFI currently has an opening for a Traffic Coordinator. The incumbent will perform log editing duties including printing and processing daily show formats, reviewing logs for product and advertiser separation. They will also be responsible for scheduling all paid programming onto daily logs, including tracking down satellite feeds and tape deliveries. This position serves as a backup for local copy and will print various reports that accompany the logs.

Requirements, Skills & Abilities: Four year college degree required. A minimum of three [3] experience in a traffic department is required. Candidate must have excellent communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills. Must be able to work in a team environment and work well under pressure. Knowledge of Wide Orbit preferred.



FINANCIAL ANALYST: Regular Full-Time: KDFW/KDFI currently has an opening for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst has significant responsibility for providing complete, accurate, and timely accounting reports to management. This is accomplished by accurately interpreting raw and summarized data from the Traffic and General Ledger systems. Responsible for preparing all journal entries and analyses related to the accounting cycle closes, including standard, recurring, and adjusting journal entries and posting depreciation. Also responsible for capitalizing fixed assets and maintaining the master asset list along with the related records. The Financial Analyst will assist in regular auditing and testing. Assists in the annual SOX 404 testing and annual budget preparation. This candidate must have flexibility with work schedule.

Four year college degree with a major or concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline is required. Broadcast Finance experience is preferred. A CPA or MBA is required. A minimum of four [4] or more years of general accounting experience is required. Must possess good working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, have good math skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis in Excel and operate a 10-key by touch.
