    Kent Brantly always wanted to be a medical missionary, and he took the work seriously, spending months treating a steady stream of patients with Ebola in Liberia. Now Brantly is himself a patient, fighting for his own survival in an isolation unit on the outskirts of Monrovia, Liberia, after contracting the deadly disease. The Texas-trained doctor says he is "terrified" of the disease progressing further.

James' best-seller, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ is due in theaters February 14. The racy romance novel tells the story of business magnate Christian Grey and his love interest Anastasia Steele. In the trailer, Grey, played by Jamie Dornan, and Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, meet for the first time in his office. "It’s the biggest story right now,” said celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

Abrams. Abrams, shooting in “sunny London,” posted a video on Omaze plugging his “Force for Change” fundraiser to benefit UNICEF.  In the video, Abrams displays the new X-Wing Fighter being used on the set for Star Wars: Episode VII.

    Fruit packaged by the Wawona Packing Company out of Cutler, California and sold at stores across the country is being voluntarily recalled. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says there is a possibility the recalled products may be contaminated with listeria. No illnesses have been linked to the recall. Certain lots of peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots sold at Trader Joe's, Costco, Sam's Club and Fresh Direct could be contaminated with the dangerous food-borne pathogen.

    The countdown clock is ticking towards the start of the Special Olympics USA Games this weekend in New Jersey. Excitement for the big event hit a high on Wednesday when the Law Enforcement Torch Run made its way through Times Square. The Flame of Hope has been carried by Special Olympics athletes and more than 100 law enforcement volunteers from across the country in a five-day run with the final destination the Prudential Center in Newark on Sunday for the opening ceremony.
