Man Killed in Apparent Carjacking

DALLAS - Police believe a carjacking turned into a deadly shooting in South Oak Cliff overnight.

Around 1:40 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Beauchamp and Springview Avenues where they found a man lying in the street, and the door of his silver Isuzu Rodeo open.

The victim had been shot in the head, chest and hand.

Despite efforts by paramedics and emergency workers at Baylor Medical Center, the man died.

At this point, detectives think there were no witnesses, so they are combing the crime scene for clues.
