Mark Cuban Pledges Reward in Rape Case

DALLAS - The reward to catch the person who beat and raped a woman along Henderson Avenue after the Mavericks championship game is growing.

A friend of the victim has given $5,000, making the reward total $15,000. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has also said he’ll give another $20,000 to the reward fund.

The woman was attacked in the early morning hours of June 13 while walking to her car from a bar in the popular Knox-Henderson district.

Police said investigators are waiting for DNA results from a lab to see if there’s a match in the criminal database. They have not released a description of the suspect.

Sources told FOX 4 the victim was so badly beaten that veteran detectives said they’ve never seen anything like it.
