Cop Fired for Forcing Sexual Favors

DALLAS - A Dallas cop was fired Tuesday for allegedly forcing a prostitute to give him sexual favors.

According to the Dallas Police Department, Officer Jeffrey Thorn was both terminated for “failing his probation as an officer with the department” and arrested for aggravated sexual assault.

Assistant Chief Floyd Simpson said on June 24 an undercover officer spotted his squad car idling in a high-crime area for a long time. A sergeant went over to investigate and caught him with a prostitute.

A police report states Thorn forced the woman to perform oral sex on him.

He was booked into the Lew Sterrett jail.

Thorn was relatively new to the force. He was hired in 2008 and had worked in the Southeast Patrol Division.
