Texas Giant to Be World's Steepest Roller Coaster

ARLINGTON, Texas - Six Flags over Texas in Arlington on Thursday provided a sneak peek at the Texas Giant, which the park said will have the steepest drop in the world for any wooden coaster.

Engineers have been working diligently to change the frame work of the ride, adding an additional 10 feet to its lift hill and laying the first track.

This first drop will be an exhilarating 79 degrees, according to the park

The new Texas Giant is scheduled to debut next year as part of the park’s 50th anniversary celebration.
