LOS ANGELES - Teens know the clothing store Forever 21 as a great place to get trendy clothes and jewelry that won't empty the bank account.
Now the Los Angeles-based chain is adding maternity clothes to its stores, and some parents worry it's sending the wrong message to its young customers.

While the trendy "Love 21 Maternity" line won't be available in all stores, the retailer is opening some stores specificially just for expectant mothers.
However, the stores won't be in the biggest markets like Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
The maternity clothes will be available at first in just five states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Texas, and Utah -- coincidentally, the states with the highest teen birth rates, according to the U.S. government statistics.
The Texas stores will be open in Harlingen, Laredo, and El Paso -- along the border with Mexico.
Online, the store offers "tips on how to stay stylish when you're expecting."
