DALLAS - A man accused of fatally shooting a friend in a twisted child custody plot says he wants justice for the victim's family.
Jacob Wheeler in a jailhouse interview on Thursday admitted to firing the shots that killed 20-year-old Dwayne Moten .
According to police, Moten asked Wheeler to shoot him so they could blame the crime on the boyfriend of Moten's ex-girlfriend, and ultimately gain custody of Moten's son.
Wheeler, also 20, said he wants justice for Moten's mother and other family members.
He said the ultimate justice for the family would be his dying, but said he did want to receive the death penalty.
