Garland Man Allegedly Shot by Kids Dies

GARLAND, Texas - One month after a shooting that killed his wife, a Garland man has died from his injuries. Two children are accused in the crime.

Alan Nevil and his wife, Darlene, were shot on Aug. 17 at their home in the 600 block of Rilla Drive.

The woman was dead at the scene but the man, before being hospitalized, was able to tell officers who shot them.

Police later arrested a 12-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy and charged them with murder .

Police still will not confirm the relationship of the children to the victims, but neighbors told FOX 4 News that the girl is the couple's daughter and the boy is her boyfriend.
