Dallas police are looking for a man who bumps women’s cars with his truck and when they stop to check the damage, he kidnaps and rapes them.

Police said they’ve received two reports of such incidents this month.

The first happened on Aug. 2 at about 5:30 a.m. The victim told police a man hit her vehicle in the 2700 block of West Davis.

She pulled into a nearby apartment complex to exchange insurance information and that’s when police said the man threatened her with a knife. He demanded she get inside his vehicle.

Police said the man drove the woman to the 400 block of North Cavender Street and raped her.

Police believe the same man used the same tactic at about 5 a.m. on Aug. 15 to ambush another woman near Marsh and Forest lanes.

Again, the man bumped the woman’s car. When she pulled over in a parking lot, he grabbed her and threatened her with a knife. Police said he drove her to the back of a shopping center and raped her.

Police describe their suspect as a 25 to 38-year-old Latin male. He weighs about 170 to 180 pounds and is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He also has spiky black hair, acne scars and drives a two-door black Chevy single-cab pickup.

Anyone with information about him should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-373-TIPS (8477).

Police also encourage people to use precaution if in an accident when there are few people around.

Accident victims should stop only in an area that is populated and lighted or call 911 for police assistance before exchanging insurance information.
