Cops: GISD Teacher Has Sex with Student

Garland police have arrested a North Garland High School teacher for allegedly having an improper relationship with teenage student.

According to a release, police learned that 41-year-old Yolanda Horace-Crockett was involved in a sexual relationship with a male student under the age of 17 years old.

Police said the victim is a minor so the offense is a second degree felony that carries a punishment of two to 20 years in prison and up to a fine of $10,000.

Horace-Crockett is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.
