DPD Cruiser Catches Fire

DALLAS - A Dallas police car caught fire during morning rush hour along I-30 near the Highway 80 split on Tuesday.

The officer driving the car was not injured.

Video from FOX 4 shows the interior of the car completely singed, with melted upholstery and padding and exposed seat springs.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire, which may have been mechanical or electrical in nature.
