Masked men tried to steal a huge safe from a Turtle Creek law firm early Wednesday morning, but they were interrupted, say Dallas police.

According to officers, a night watchwoman who guarded the 15-story building at 2911 Turtle Creek Blvd. heard a noise around 3:15 a.m. and went to investigate.

She encountered four masked men trying to move a huge safe in the building's stairwell.

The safe is so large, several people could stand inside of it.

Officers say the men fled when they saw the woman.

She gave chase and saw two other men without masks in the parking lot.

Police searched the building with dogs and found no other sign of the thieves, but realized the offices of the Kennedy Law Firm had been ransacked.

The building also has the offices of the Super Bowl XLV Committee, and Plains Capital Bank. Officers are looking at security video to see if any useful images were captured.
