Teenage Texas drivers may soon have to keep their hands on the wheel, their eyes on the road drop and their cell phones off.
The Texas House has tentatively approved a ban on teens younger than 18 from using a cell phone while driving, even if it's handsfree.
The bill includes an exception for calls made in emergencies.
Supporters say the goal is to foster good driving habits, not damage driving records.
