Rangers Investigating Judges' Fight

A Dallas judge is accusing another judge of shoving him. He says it happened Wednesday afternoon during a confrontation in the courthouse.

State district court judge Carlos Cortez has sat on the bench in the 44th district for two years. State district court judge Eric Moye was sworn in for the 14th district in January.

Both judges are Democrats.

Cortez claims Moye assaulted him and a deputy sheriff witnessed the incident, his attorney said.

Moye told FOX 4 there was no altercation.

The Dallas County Sheriff has turned the case over to the Texas Rangers to avoid a conflict of interest.
