Teen Home Invaders Busted by Neighbor

SANSOM PARK, Texas - A group of teenagers held a Sansom Park family at gunpoint in their home, but while they were robbing the place a neighbor called police.

Detectives said the crime was incredibly brazen. Everything appeared to be planned, except for the witness who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

That witness, who asked that her name not be used, said thought the robbery was a joke at first. She had gone outside to smoke when she saw two teen girls knock on her neighbor’s door and then hide. Three teen boys then rushed the door with guns, she said.

“The three guys barged in. They had pistols in their hands and they barged in the home. All I heard was yelling ‘Get on the ground. Get on the ground,’” she said.

The victim, who also asked that his name not be used, said he feared for his family’s life. The teens tied him and his wife up with zip ties, he said.

“They ransacked the rooms. They took the money off of me. I don’t know what they were looking for but they took money and left,” he said.

Officers were dispatch to the home after the neighbor called 911. Police said teens were still loading up the getaway car when they arrived.

Two 16-year-old girls, two 16-year-old boys and 19-year-old James Vallejo were arrested at the scene.

“After speaking with one of the actors they said they had driven around for some time and cased out the house, probably for a couple of hours before they committed it,” said Sansom Park Det. Tom Milner.

He said they likely targeted the home because they knew the owner sells CDs and designer clothes.
