Toddler, 5-Year-Old Drown in Pools

ARLINGTON - A 21-month-old Arlington boy and a 5-year-old Plano girl both died Tuesday night after drowning in different swimming pools, police say.

The Plano fire department responded to the first drowning call around 9 p.m. at a community pool in the 4700 block of Blackshear Trail. The girl was taken to Medical Center Plano where she died.

Arlington officers responded to the second drowning call in the 1900 block of Primrose. Damion Salazar was pronounced dead at 10:40 p.m. at South Arlington Medical Center.
