Millions of dollars in loot, confiscated by U.S. Marshalls, was sold at auction in Arlington this morning. Officers say the pieces were either bought with dirty money or stolen.
More than 1,500 people showed up at the Arlington Convention Center to bid on the jewlery and art work. The majority of the 700 items were sold for a total of $3M.
The money made from the auction goes to state and local law enforcement agencies and to pay back crime victims.
