CASA GRANDE, Ariz. - A man died after parachuting off a cell phone tower and getting tangled in power lines, sheriff's deputies said.

23-year-old Darrel Dunafon and two friends trespassed when they climbed the 400-foot tower Friday night to perform BASE jumps, according to news reports.

Pinal County Sheriff's Lt. Tamath Villar says Dunafon's chute got tangled in some power lines and as he tried to free himself, he touched at 12,000-volt power line.

A BASE jump occurs from a fixed object. The acronym stands for Buildings, Antennas, Spans (bridges), and Earth (cliffs).

Dunafon's two friends were questioned and could be charged in the case.
