Driver Shot at Traffic Light

DALLAS - A man waiting in his car at a traffic light was shot, and died after crashing his car early Thursday morning, police said.

The incident happened about 12:50 a.m. in the 9900 block of Elam Road, near Balch Springs.

According to investigators, someone shot 25-year-old Fredrick Ray Henderson, who was thrown out of his vehicle when it hit a light pole, crossed a median and flipped.

Paramedics found Henderson lifeless and suffering from a gunshot wound to his side

He was pronounced dead at Baylor Hospital.

Police are looking for the shooter.
