DALLAS - A gust front swept across North Texas Wednesday and heavy rain followed the high winds.
“I haven’t seen this since March or something! It’s been a while. We need it bad!” said Cody Rough.
Brandy Glasgow said she looked outside and couldn’t believe it. It was like it came out of nowhere, she said.
“I have holes in my backyard that my little dog just gets lost in the holes. So we are just so excited about all this rain,” Glasgow said.
The rain won’t make a big difference when it comes to the drought. At most only about 2 inches fell in some places. But it did cool things down for a while.
“I turned off my air condition a few minutes ago. So, this is nice. I’ll enjoy it while it lasts,” said Mark Autrey.
Many are hoping that it’s all a sign that perhaps the end of the triple-digit temperatures is near.
“It’s nice. I wish it would last, but I kind of want to break that record, too. So, I don’t know,” Autrey said.
