Twin Cities weather forecast

Saturday: Early morning storms in southwest Minnesota will leave cloud debris around for a good part of the day, but patchy sunshine will still help warm temperatures into the 80's. Scattered storms will likely develop in western Minnesota late in the day.  Whatever storms erupt will have a risk of turning severe with large hail and damaging winds as the main threat.  The metro will stay dry through the day and Saturday night as well as southerly flow kicks in allowing temperatures to soar on Sunday.  The last day of the weekend could be the warmest day of the year as highs climb to the low and possibly mid 90's with the heat index nearing 100 degrees.  Partly cloudy skies otherwise, before storm chances return to much of the area Sunday night.
