Janitor Jailed for Locking Toddlers in Closet

A school custodian is facing criminal charges for allegedly spanking and locking two 3-year-old girls inside a closet.

Corsicana police said 51-year-old Steven Allen Dunn was arrested on Nov. 4 on two counts of injury to a child, two counts of endangering a child and two counts of unlawful restraint.

Police said on two separate occasions Dunn spanked and then placed students at Two Dimensions Preparatory Academy alone in his custodial closet. The closet was closed, had no light or window inside it and contained various cleaning supplies.

He was booked into the Navarro County Jail on $200,000 bond.

Police are still investigating the case to determine if there are any additional victims. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Det. Ronni Phillips at 903-654-4900.
