Hometown Hero: Bracelets for the Cure

Seven Girl Scout troops at Lakehill Preparatory School are busy making bracelets ’ 500 for breast cancer survivors.

The pink and white bead bracelets are accented with a funky black and white zebra bead for extra style. Each bracelet is in a cellophane bag with the words "strength, hope and courage" printed on the top.

The Brownies, Cadets and Girl Scouts are happy and proud that their project will show support for survivors. They will give their works of art to these brave women and men on Komen Dallas Race Day, which is on Oct. 16 at North Park Center.
