Mud flies in this week's Lone Star Adventure. FOX 4's Richard Ray takes us to rural Rockwall County near Royse City to Mud Bog Racing.
There's not a lot of finesse in this motor sport, just put your pedal to the medal and hang on. It's aptly called Mud Bog racing. Each truck in the race is timed for distance and speed.
The Rockwall County Mud Bog races are monthly events on the Butler homestead. Ironically, Mother Nature's mud making can actually be a problem. If it rains too much people can't get the truck and trailers into the facility.
There are just a handful of mud bog tracks in Texas but they are very popular in other parts of the country like Florida and the Midwest. There is a little prize money involved but not many rules and regulations. You can spend a lot of money on your trucks but experts says it's not necessary.
For more information please check out the Rockwall County Mud Bog website.
