Torrie's Take

The Holiday Season is in full swing and that means holiday parties! "Us girls" are always wondering about what to wear? You dont want to be "too" over the top. Also who has time to be packing all these extra outfits for a work party...not me! Check out these tips for picking out your holiday threads.

Here's my take:
Ladies, many of you will be heading to these parties after your work day. So try something like a really cute sequin, or silky top under your blazer or cardigan. When its time to party--lose the blazer! Also try a great pair of winter white pants, a cute sweater dress or skirt. These items will make your transition from day to night, a piece of cake. If you don't normally accessorize for so that day! Wear a nice necklace or earrings just to add a little something extra to your look. When there's bad weather, I usually stroll into work in my Uggs or snow be sure to pack your pumps for the party later. After you clock out...spruce up your lips, re-touch your make up, tidy up the hair...and you're ready!
In general, a key fashion piece for the holidays is Sequins! Whether it's a sequin top over jeans, skinny pants OR a sequin skirt paired with your tights and a buttoned down blouse. It's all about the sparkle! Just make sure you don't look like a Christmas ornament! For my plus size fashionistas---instead of sequins, do lace. Lace is hot this season, and will add just enough "sexy" to your look. Try a black lace dress, that compliments your curves, and a pair of red, hot pink, or even emerald green suede platforms to give you a pop of color! Speaking of can't go wrong with a little Red this season. Black is always sexy! Another big trend I'm in love with-- Winter White Lace...with black tights and AMAZING sky high suede black heels---totally major!

Cheers Ladies to being "Festively Fabulous" this holiday season!

Xoxo :)
