Chicago's Most Wanted "Fencing" Bandit

Some bank robbers go to great lengths to hide their faces. The bandit who knocked over a Park Forest bank in June is no exception.

When the U.S.Bank branch on Indianwood drive in Park Forest was robbed June 11th, investigators say the bandit wore a mask, similar to what a "fencer" would; it was black mesh with no cutouts. He was also dressed in all black and wore gloves.

The robber entered the bank, announcing a robbery and demanding cash. After receiving money from one teller, witnesses say he moved down to the next teller window and did "a belly flop" on the counter. They say he then reached into that teller drawer and took more money.

The bandit fled the bank through the front door and drove off in a white compact car. Agents don't believe there was a getaway driver waiting in the car and that the bandit drove off by himself.

Due to his mask and outfit, agents have only a vague description of what this bandit looks; he is considered armed and dangerous.
