Just like the movie, "The Fast And The Furious," that might describe how latest serial bank robber to hit the Chicago area operates. FBI agents believe the bandit has robbed four northwest suburban banks in two weeks, including a Harris Bank Branch in Elk Grove Village on April 21st.
A bank security camera snapped a photo of the robber leaving the bank, wearing his usual disguise, which includes sunglasses.
His life of crime may be on a roll now, but investigators say it got off to a rough start. That may be his downfall. Agents say the bandit attempted to rob of a Rolling Meadows bank, he became uncomfortable and left without taking any money. Before the bandit made his exit, a bank's security camera snapped a key photo. It may be the break agents need. The FBI's Ross Rice says, "That attempted robbery as we call it, gave us our best look at this fellow. We have a great shot of him from the bank surveillance cameras without any sunglasses or type of disguise."
Agents are hoping you will take a good look at that photo and help them identify this bandit.
In addition to getting a good look at his face, investgators say the suspect is a white male, about six feet tall, weighing around 230 pounds and has light brown hair.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call police.
