Habitat for Humanity Opens Restore to Sell Discount Items in Detroit

Do you have some old building supplies- you'll probably never use? How about extra tools- appliances- or furniture? Habitat for Humanity is reusing those items in a new discount store on Mack Avenue in Detroit.

They recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their third local Restore located just North of Cadieux on Detroit's east side.

The store is stocked with surplus new and used building materials and home items, including furniture, sold at 50 to 90 percent off.

The money that's made helps to further Habitat for Humanity's mission to provide safe, affordable housing for low-income families.

In all Habitat for Humanity has 46 of these Restores across the state.

If you have items you'd like to donate, you can drop them off at the store or call the Habitat for Humanity Restore to schedule a pickup. he store is located at: 17181 Mack Avenue, Detroit
