A famous pastor gets carjacked in broad daylight. Does that mean it's time for vigilante justice? If not, what is the solution to stop violent crime in Detroit?

On another round of Fox 2's Let it Rip, Huel Perkins leads a panel discussion on the recent gas station robbery of Pastor Marvin Winans, who had his $40,000 Rolex Watch and $72,00 burgundy Infiniti QX56 stolen.  Winans was punched, kicked and had his pants ripped apart as a group of thieves took his wallet as well.  What happens now that a rich and famous person gets attacked?  Should there be mandatory security at gas stations?  And what actions should the citizens of the city take?

On the panel with Huel, Segment 1:

Auday Arabo, CEO Associated Food and Petroleum Dealers.

Reverend David Bullock, Senior Pastor of the Greater St. Matthew Church and state leader of the Rainbow Coalition.

Reverend Horace Sheffield of the New Destiny Baptist Church.

Charlie Langton, Fox 2 Legal Analyst.

On the panel with Huel, Segment 2:

Andre Ventura, Creator of No Crackhead Signs

Alberta Tinsley-Talabi, former Detroit City Council member.

Rick Ector, Gun Advocate

Charlie Langton, Fox 2 Legal Analyst.

Segment 3, Let it Rip on the Road.

Charlie Langton asks the tough question: Is it time to move out of Detroit?

In the meantime there are places that are thriving in Detroit, in spite of obstacles. Learn more about the programs, the people and the happening places on the  Redefining Detroit page of myFOXdetroit.com >>
