Teen murder suspect cries in court

Posted: Updated:
WYLIE, Texas -

Disturbing crime scene images were shown in court Tuesday during the hearing for a Wylie teenager accused of killing his classmate.

A Collin County judge is trying to determine if the 15-year-old suspect will face murder charges as a juvenile or as an adult.

He is accused of killing his friend, 15-year-old Nahum Martinez, one night in March. According to police, they were playing with a gun when the weapon went off.

Neighbors found Martinez's body the next morning on the street.

Police believe the suspect and another juvenile wrapped the body in a comforter, threw it out of a second floor window and tried to stuff it into a nearby storm drain.

When crime scene pictures were shown in court the suspect broke down and cried.

He said the shooting was an accident.
