North Texas Child Protective Services workers have five children in custody after their mother collapsed and died at a bus station Thursday morning.

Felicia Hayles, 29, fell ill at the Greyhound Bus Station on S. Lamar in downtown Dallas about 3:45 a.m.

An ambulance rushed her to Baylor Medical Center, where she later died.

The medical examiner listed the cause of death as a blood clot hampered by morbid obesity.

Police say the family was traveling from Mississippi to Oregon, and CPS has made contact with the children's father.

Greyhound has said it will provide free tickets for the children to return home to Oregon.
