A new children's clinic was opened in North Texas on Tuesday.
MyChildren's, an affiliate of Children's Medical Center Dallas, held a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. to celebrate the opening of a new location in Oak Cliff.
"We're a primary care pediatric office so we see children from birth to age eighteen for all sorts of conditions, well checks immunizations sick visits, were the medical home for this community," said Ray Tsai Medical Director of MyChildren's.
MyChildren's is expanding to neighborhoods where few options exist for families who depend on Medicaid and the state's Children's Health Insurance Program.
The new offices are in Oak Cliff and East Plano, which are now seeing patients and a third in Lake Highlands opening next week.
"Children in these communities need a good pediatrician, they need to come to an office that's open accessible, culturally sensitive and were here to meet those needs in the community," said Tsai.
MyChildren's opened 12 years ago and is operating seven offices around North Texas. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The clinics offer services such as:
