Dirk Nowitzki is not married, despite at least one report to the contrary, the Dallas Mavericks say.
The team contradicted an online article that claimed its superstar power forward wed fiancé Jessica Olsson this weekend in Africa.
The website reports Nowitzki and Olsson, a Dallas art gallery manager, married at a traditional Kenyan ceremony.
In fact, the article even quotes the popular player as having said, "This is one of two wedding set-ups that we have planned to undertake and the ceremony has been very beautiful."
However, the Mavs tell the Dallas Morning News the report is false.
The couple announced the engagement in April but have not set a wedding date.
