Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Atlanta's Grant Park neighborhood on Thursday.
Authorities say a man was discovered shot to death outside a vacant home for sale at the corner of Hill Street and Grant Park Place around 4:30 p.m.
Atlanta Police Lt. Paul Guerrucci said officials canvassed the area in search of clues and witnesses.
"We haven't located any eyewitnesses as of yet. Now we do have people that we have talked to that perhaps saw people fleeing from the scene, so we're trying to determine if those people were fleeing from the gunshot that they heard, or if they were involved," said Guerrucci.
Investigators have not released the name of the victim, but they did say in was from the neighborhood and in his 50s.
Rick Wright, who lives in the neighborhood, said he was concerned to hear of the shooting. He said he'd like to see a bigger police presence in the neighborhood.
