Oil refinery fire lights up sky over Tulsa, OK

TULSA, Okla. -

An explosion led to a large fire at an oil refinery in Tulsa, Oklahoma before dawn on Thursday.

The refinery is owned by Dallas-based HollyFrontier Corp. The company says the fire broke out shortly after 2 a.m. and no one was hurt.

The company also says there is no risk to the surrounding community.

The affected unit is a diesel hydrotreater, and the plant usually treats about 125,000 barrels of oil a day, according to its website.

No cause of the fire or explosion has been determined.
