CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A former General Electric employee will receive $89,000 a month for the next 10 years not to work.

The Wall Street Journal reports that John Krenicki is being given the money so he doesn't work for a competitor for three years.

Krenicki left the company two weeks ago.

But he still will have a job.

He's been named a senior operating partner in a private equity firm that buys companies and attempts to improve their performance.
