A Cold Front In August?

Posted: Updated:

A cold front, north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, may spark a few scattered thunderstorms this evening to our Northwest.  The chances are slim, but a few lucky individuals may see a little rain.  The HEAT ADVISORY that has been if affect for the Dallas/Ft. Worth for days expires at 8pm tonight, however it will be extended for areas east and southeast of the Metroplex.  With this 'cold front' hanging around for the next day or so, we'll continue to see a slight chance for rain during the afternoon hours for the first half of the work week.  However, temperatures won't come down much as daytime highs remain right around 100-103 degrees.  We might even drop below 100 degrees by next weekend.
