DALLAS -

A Dallas woman who called 911 screaming for her husband to stop attacking her was found dead two days later.

Police arrested 35-year-old Delvecchio Patrick on a murder charge.

Officers said his 32-year-old wife, Deanna Patrick, called for help Friday and could be heard begging him to stop.

When officers went to the home in the 9300 block of Crimnson Court no one answered so they left.

Deanna Patrick's family found her body inside a bathtub in the house two days later.

The Dallas Police Department said a preliminary review of the incident suggests the officers that went to the victim's home knocked on the door, checked the perimeter windows, spoke with neighbors and tried to return the 911 call, but it went to voicemail.

It will conduct a comprehensive review to make sure the nature of the call was sufficiently communicated through each step of the process and to the responding officers.
