Police in San Antonio say a man proposed to his girlfriend just seconds after they were both arrested for an alleged aggravated robbery.
According to KSAT-TV, 27-year-old Sean Foxx popped the question Monday to 24-year-old Trelia Woods just after officers slapped the cuffs on both of them.
Managers at a Family Dollar store say Woods had shoplifted some items and was trying to leave the store through a locked door.
A detective said Foxx jumped out of the getaway car and showed Woods which door was open.
"He threatens the managers telling them he'll be back to get them because they were going to hurt his girlfriend," Sgt. Daniel Alonzo told the television station.
Both suspects drove away but were arrested a short time later. Officers say that's when Foxx asked Woods to marry him.
Foxx told police his girlfriend was not trying to shoplift anything, and he was trying to protect her from the employees.
