LANSING, Mich. (MyFox Detroit) - It's obviously a monster story that a one-person grand jury has been ordered to look into the unanswered questions surrounding the election fraud case involving the GOP Speaker of the House and the Grand Rapids lawmaker who may rue the day he decided to switch parties.

Let's just say that Rep. Jase Bolger (R-Marshall) and Rep. Roy Schmidt (R-Grand Rapids) are facing some tough days ahead with their political careers potentially hanging in the balance, not to mention the possibility of facing criminal charges.

But here's the real kicker to the story that lends even more credence to the decision by the Ingham County Circuit Court to go there: There are strong indications that every jurist agreed with the decision and it appears there was no substantive debate about the pros and cons of issuing this order

In other words, in non-legal terms, calling for the one-person grand jury was a slam dunk.

One can only conclude that even though the two lawmakers consistently argued that all the questions had been answered by five investigations, the judges went into the room unwilling to reach the same conclusion.

Of course Mr. Bolger and Mr. Schmidt have admitted they made mistakes in trying to rig an election to get Mr. Schmidt elected as a Republican but they have denied any other wrong doing and are presumed innocent until proven other wise.

The wheels are now in motion for Judge Rosemaire Aquilina, a military officer and former assistant to a Democratic state senator, to determine if the two are innocent.  And the probe will not be limited to them.  Others have got to be wondering, if they will survive as well.

Not exactly a joyous day for Michigan Republicans in Tampa as they were fixin' to celebrate the nomination of a native son to maybe become the next President of the United State and now they must confront a legal and political firestorm back home the dimensions of which are yet to be fleshed out.
