It's a crime with a Hefty sentence, but a North Texas thief is probably Glad he got away with it.
Police in Burleson say a man wearing several trash bags robbed a convenience store early Thursday morning.
A surveillance camera captured a picture of the man with white plastic bags covering his head and arms, carrying a tire iron as he climbed over the counter at the 7-Eleven on 101 N. Burleson Blvd.
City of Burleson spokesperson Sally Ellerston said in news release that the robber was probably trying to cover up tattoos or other identifying marks during the 2:25 a.m. incident.
The man, described as dark-skinned or Hispanic, was about 6 feet tall with short black hair. He was also wearing sandals with white socks.
If you recognize the man, please call 817-426-9926 or Crime Stoppers at 817-295-5323. You can also text Crime Stoppers at 2746637, enter JCCS, then text your tip.
Police hope the public can help them bag their man.
