Clarice Tinsley's Hometown Heroes this week make up Girl Scout Troop 411 in Plano. They take part in lots of fun events and some very important ones.
The 11-year-old girls are currently fighting breast cancer by making hundreds of pink swaps for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
A swap is a "special whatchamacallit affectionately pinned somewhere." The Girl Scouts make them to relate to the event they're attending and then swap them with other Girl Scouts.
This time their pink hearts, pink ribbons, pink feathers and more will be given to walkers and runners at the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure and the Komen 3-Day.
Three of the scouts in Troop 411 said they have a relative who either lost a breast cancer battle or survived it.
The troop is happy and proud to support the survivors and the walkers and runners with their swaps. FOX 4 is also a proud sponsor of the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure.
Race day is Oct. 20. For more information, visit www.komendallas.org.
