DALLAS -
American Airlines' reservation system briefly went down on Tuesday, according to the company's Twitter account.
The airline tweeted about the mishap on Tuesday but issued a tweet shortly after that the outage was resolved.
The tweet read, "Our reservations system is back online. We're working hard to catch up as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience."
American did not immediately return a call from the Associated Press for comment and more details.
American is the nation's third-biggest airline by passenger traffic. American and parent AMR Corp. have been operating under bankruptcy protection since November.
