
An eighth grade football player will be alright after a big scare Tuesday night.
Hayden Davis, the quarterback for Grapevine Middle School, was rushed to the hospital during the game against Colleyville Heritage.
The back of his head slammed the turf pretty hard when he was hit under the chin during a tackle.
Doctors determined Davis suffered a mild concussion. He was treated and released.
On the sidelines Wednesday the 13-year-old said his head still hurts, but he wants to keep playing once the doctors give him the okay.
His mother would prefer he concentrate on baseball instead, especially since he also suffered a concussion last year.
She is also thankful team and school officials took plenty of precautions after the accident.
