IRVING, Texas -
Two people are in the hospital after a head-on crash on a freeway ramp.
The wreck happened about 2:40 a.m. Monday on the ramp from westbound Irving Boulevard to Highway 183.
Police say a man driving an Irving ISD security vehicle was headed in the correct direction on the ramp, when he crested the rise of the flyover.
A black sedan headed in the wrong direction slammed into the front of the pickup truck.
The person in the Irving ISD truck is expected to recover from his injuries, but the wrong-way driver has life-threatening injuries.
No names were released by police.
