
A man is in custody Tuesday afternoon after allegedly hitting one officer with his car and punching another while trying to flee the scene of a family violence incident.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 3900 block of Investor Drive at about 1:30 p.m.
A female officer was struck as she and her partner tried to stop the male suspect from leaving in his vehicle.
Other officers forced him to stop about a block away.
Police said the man punched out the windows and windshield of his car as the officers tried to place him under arrest.
He also hit one officer in the nose before he was restrained.
Both of the injured officers were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect's name has not yet been released.
The charges against him are still pending.
