GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -

Gwinnett County crews rescued a tree worker who got stuck high in the air after getting hurt by a falling branch.

The tree worked apparently was injured by a falling branch and became disoriented on Park Hollow Lane near Lawrenceville in unincorporated Gwinnett County just before noon on Thursday.

The worker was stuck so high up the tree that the ladder from their fire truck could reach him.

The Gwinnett Technical Rescue Team had to be called in to get him down.

"I put on some climbing spikes and my harness and connected to a…safety line," said James King of the Gwinnett Fire Technical Rescue Team.

King wrapped a harness around the worker and was able to ease him down.

The worker was reportedly alert and conscious when he was transported to the hospital. He was listed in stable condition late Thursday.

"He had some injuries and he was dealing with those well. He wasn't complaining or anything," said King.

There were no reports of any other injuries.
